Dehumidification. What is it? Who needs it? How does it work? Learn the ins and outs of this water restoration tactic today!

DehumidificationWhat is Dehumidification?

Dehumidification is a moisture control process utilized by the professionals at BMS CAT after water damage has occurred.

dehumidification servicesWho needs Dehumidification?

Anyone whose home or office has sustained water damage as the result of a flood, storm, plumbing leak or virtually anything else should request dehumidification services from local water damage restoration specialists right away.

What does Dehumidification Accomplish?

Dehumidification reduces indoor humidity levels and removes any remaining moisture following the initial water extraction process.

Once our team has mapped out all areas of the structure that may be harboring excess moisture, we will use commercial-grade fans, directed air movement, and desiccant dehumidifiers to:

water damagePrevent secondary water damage (e.g. warping and/or swelling of walls, floors, furniture, etc.).
dehumidified airflowAccelerate the evaporation of all remaining moisture via enhanced, dehumidified airflow.
mold or mildewPrevent the growth of mold or mildew by depriving them of the moisture needed to take root.

Why is it so Important to Act Quickly?

Act QuicklyThe longer your structure and belongings are exposed to water, the greater your risk of developing mold or mildew. With mold and mildew come a host of other problems you’ll want to avoid at all costs, if possible. Plus, the sooner you act, the sooner you can have your life or business up and running smoothly again.

Our Water Damage Restoration Team is Available 24/7

If your property is suffering from water damage, whether it’s a small leak or your entire building is underwater, BMS CAT’s friendly water damage recovery team can help. Contact us 24-hours a day, seven days a week to learn more about our dehumidification process or to schedule severe water damage recovery services.
