Hurricane Ike pounded Galveston Island, damaging the University of Texas Medical Branch campus. BMS CAT® was standing by and began deployment of personnel and equipment as soon as the storm passed. BMS CAT personnel began water extraction and debris removal immediately. At the peak of the project, BMS CAT's labor force topped 1,400. The facility was able to begin partial openings just weeks following the storm.
